Although this mid-century modern dwelling in Krisana Park had been updated in the 90's, it was already in need of a renovation. The homeowner wanted to bring a "zen" feel to the home with modern appeal. And while the layout of the kitchen space generally stayed the same, the space became more open, warm and inviting with new double doors to the patio and modernized materials.
Objectives
- Update the look and feel of the space
- Use materials that would not require as much maintenance as the existing white tile floors, cabinets and countertops.
- Create better access to the outdoors to make use of the patio
