WheelChair Ramp for George & Barbara Crenshaw

George Crenshaw, a retired carpenter and Barbara Crenshaw, a retired nurse, have lived in their Denver home for forty-two years. They have seen the neighborhood change and grow over the past four decades as people move away and new families move in. They truly love the neighborhood.
However, in the last few years, the small set of stairs that leads from the front door down their walk began to make it difficult for George to leave the house. The solution was to build a wheelchair ramp that would make leaving and entering the house easier for the couple.
When Classic Homeworks heard of the Crenshaw’s we decided to help out. With careful planning and a donation of lumber from Boulder Lumber, Classic Homeworks set out to build a wheelchair ramp for the couple.
On Saturday, April 18th, the entire Classic Homeworks staff gathered at the Crenshaw home to aid in building the ramp. In just one day the work was complete. The Crenshaw’s are excited to now have the freedom to come and go as they please.
