Our
goal was to “expand” the functional use and space without increasing
the footprint or “popping the top.” And, to do so in a way that
invoked the original charm and character of the 1911 Craftsman-style
Wash Park Bungalow, while utilizing new and modern products
& techniques. In essence, to create a space that has the
timeless value & appeal of one of the cities Beloved Bungalows.
We accomplished just that, with a close working relationship
with the homeowners.
The new the Lower Level welcomes you to sit and relax with lowered
floors, larger windows, a hot water radiant heating system in
the stained concrete floors, a double (solid fir) pocket door
to guest bedroom that creates both privacy and a more open feel.
Matching trim and details tie the new and old together, providing
a seamless journey throughout the home. |
