Kelli Ortegren, President
Kelli's background of an Architectural education at the University of Nebraska coupled with business practices in the corporate world has proven to be a winning combination in owning Classic Homeworks. She enjoys taking a space that doesn't quite work right and helping homeowners realize that a comfortable, functional, beautiful home can become a reality. The other passion in her life is her son, whom she enjoys time with while traveling, skiing and enjoying life's many offerings.
Paul Fread, Design & Operations Manager
Paul has been with Classic Homeworks since 2006. He studied mechanical engineering for 3 years at Texas A&M. He graduated at the top of his class from CU with a degree in Environmental Design with an emphasis in Architecture. Before Classic Homeworks, he worked for several years at a small residential architectural firm, learning the subtleties of home design. He enjoys working with clients and helping them realize their dreams by designing new spaces for them in their older homes. He and his wife have two baby girls and a Pug. When he is not working or enjoying his family, he is always on the move, his passions are competing in triathlons, running, rock climbing and remodeling his own home, just to name a few.
Brynn Mood, Designer
Brynn is a new addition to the Classic Homeworks team. She studied psychology at Northwestern University and worked in advertising for many years in Chicago before deciding to turn her passion for design into a career. After going back to school and graduating with honors from Harrington College of Design, she joined a small high-end residential Interior Design firm. She and her husband eventually decided to move west and settle in Denver, at which point she excitedly accepted a position at Classic Homeworks. She loves working with our clients and shares in their enthusiasm as their designs come to life. She finds it particularly rewarding to have a part in transforming something that hasn't worked for some time into a functional, beautiful space that suits the personalities of both the homeowner and the house itself. Outside of work, Brynn can usually be found in the kitchen trying out new recipes on friends and family or wandering the aisles of the local furniture and home improvement stores as she and her husband work to renovate their own hundred-year-old Denver home.
Amy Johnson, Office Manager
Amy has been with Classic Homeworks since the fall of 2006. She adds to the team with her many years of experience as an office manager and bookkeeper. Kelli often says "she keeps us all in line". She lives with her family out in the country and enjoys the peace and tranquility that country life offers. When she's not keeping Classic Homeworks organized, she is passionate about her favorite hobby which is sewing, she is an avid seamstress.
Matt Wood, Project Supervisor
Matt has been with Classic Homeworks since 2008. He has over 10 years of construction knowledge and experience. "I enjoy the challenge that working in older homes gives. Every home is different and I take pride in going above and beyond in order to set myself apart from other carpenters." I also think that through remodeling an older home I can bring a home back to life and restore its beauty and usefulness. Rather than letting it take up space and be an eyesore to the neighbors' hood." He has done several stints as the most interesting man in the world, and does enjoy Dos Equis on occasion. In his free time he enjoys motocross, camping, skiing, snowboarding, volunteering and reading.
Christian Liberatore, Project Supervisor
Christian has been with Classic Homeworks since November 2009. He has over 10 years of experience in both new build and remodel construction. He enjoys watching the homeowner's excitement grow as their dreams become reality. "I love creating and amazing experience, as well as an amazing product for our clients." He and his wife Sarah have two beautiful daughters, who will certainly grow up handy. When he is not working, he enjoys rock climbing, skiing and spending time outdoors with his family.
Juan Garcia, Carpenter
Juan has been with Classic Homeworks since 2005. He enjoys all of the people that he has the opportunity to meet in the course of doing his job. He and his wife April have 2 young children, Christopher and Anders, and Juliet Garcia is "The Dog". His hobbies are music, movies and family.
